iFilm adds 'The British Briefcase' to December playlist

iFilm English TV has added the Iranian series 'The British Briefcase' to its December playlist, as reported on the channel's website.

The series, directed by late Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri, is set to air starting December 27, 2023.

Delving into themes of politics, patriotism, and betrayal, 'The British Briefcase' unfolds a narrative bridging the old and the new.

The storyline follows a young lawyer returning from Europe to his hometown with a determined ambition—to make a difference by entering parliamentary elections.

However, his path is fraught with challenges as he contends with a wealthy and influential lord, along with his arrogant son, both committed to maintaining control over local politics. Despite their clashes with traditional values, they employ every means to uphold their political dominance.

The cast includes Farhad Aslani, Leila Hatami, the late Sirous Gorjestani, Reza Kianian, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Ali Mosaffa, Saba Kamali, Jamshid Gorgin, and Hessam Navvab-Safavi.

Produced in 1999, 'The British Briefcase' will replace the series 'Hoora' in the 22:00 GMT time slot.

Additionally, iFilm English will repeat each episode the following day at 04:00, 10:00, and 16:00 (all GMT time). The series comprises a total of 13 episodes.
